Free Christmas Tags Solution No: 1

Our first tip is to make your own Christmas gift tags for free using your old Christmas cards. To do this you will need the following items.

Pinking Shears or Ordinary Scissors
A needle and thread – colour optional
A collection of old used Christmas cards
Tea and Biscuits (Optional!)

We've advised using pinking shears (normally used to cut fabric) as these give a lovely zig zag pattern to the outer edges of your Christmas tags. However, ordinary scissors will do just fine. To make your tags simply cut out sections of your Christmas cards in to pictures that would make nice gift tags. Keep an eye for cards with Dad, Mum, Brother, Sister etc as these make a lovely personalised tag. Try to get as many Christmas tags out of each card as you'll be surprised at just how many you use! Once you've cut out all your tags use your needle and thread to make a small hole in the top of the tag. Thread the cotton through and tie off. You will now have free – ready made tags for next Christmas. These have been enormously popular in our family over the years. Everyone always comments on the lovely tags and have all started using their old Christmas cards to make their own free Christmas Tags. Note: This idea can also be used for birthdays or anniversarys etc.
